MOVING FORWARD, TOGETHER

Nutrition

Along with specific accommodations, nutrition is essential for a patient’s health and healing. We strive to offer a variety of great tasting menu items that meet all nutritional requirements. Registered dietitians collaborate to plan menus according to the diet prescribed by doctors. If a doctor changes a diet, we will automatically cancel previous orders and assist with a new menu. If there are specific questions about a diet or additional information, a doctor may refer the patient to a diet technician or registered dietitian. Note: If a family has brought in food, please check with the Nurse or Dietician to make sure it is appropriate for the patient’s diet. Guest trays are available for purchase at $4 each.

Visitation Information

At the patient’s request, we try always to involve the family in training and discharge planning. The designated Social Worker or Case Manager will maintain close contact with family members to keep them informed and to schedule any training. Check with the Nursing Staff before bringing in food or drink for the patient. The patient may be on a restrictive diet or have swallowing precautions. Check with the Nursing and Therapy Staff for therapy schedule times for the patient. We strongly encourage families to visit after therapy hours so that the patient can give complete attention to his/her treatment. Children are allowed to visit, with adult supervision at all times, during designated visiting hours only. Family education sessions can be scheduled by a Nurse or Therapist to help prepare the family members for discharge and identify needs before the patient goes home.

Monday – Friday: 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Saturday: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Pets

We are pet-friendly! If you or a loved one would like to have your pet visits while in the hospital, please contact a nurse for further information. However, it will be required that the patient sign a pet release of liability form before the pet’s visit. While pets are allowed to visit, it (unfortunately) cannot spend the night. The pet must be on a leash while in the facility and is not permitted in the dining area.
