BATON ROUGE –  Sage Rehabilitation Hospital and Outpatient Services announced their recent groundbreaking on a new state-of-the-art outpatient facility. The new 10,000-square-foot clinic will allow Sage space to treat more patients in the Baton Rouge community and includes a 3,000-square-foot therapy gymnasium with indoor walking track, offices for occupational and physical therapy, clinic rooms and patient treatment rooms, exterior walking track and activity court, and more.

“This new facility will allow us the space we need to care for our patients and provide rehabilitation at different levels of care, according to our patients’ needs,” said Gayla Bryant, vice president of Rehab Operations and Restorative Services for The Carpenter Health Network. “We are committed to providing optimal patient care and therapy options to our patients, and this state-of-the-art facility will allow us to do just that.”

Construction will begin December 5 on the new facility that will feature:

  • 6 Speech Therapy Officers
  • 4 Clinic Rooms
  • 3 Patient Treatment Rooms
  • Social Work and Neuropsych Offices
  • Physical Therapists Office
  • Occupational Therapists Office
  • Patient Rehabilitation Kitchen and Dining
  • ADL Activity area and Bedroom
  • 3,000-square-foot Therapy Gymnasium with walking track
  • Business Office and Administrator Office
  • Employee Conference/Break Room
  • Covered Drop-off at Entrance
  • Exterior Activity Court with walking track
  • Parking for 60 vehicles
