Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a health care profession that provides services to an individual to address developing, maintaining and/or restoring movement and function to maximize quality of life.  Physical therapists address muscle strength, range of motion, balance and endurance for mobility. Mobility includes walking with or without the use of an assistive device, functional transfers and the proper use of a wheelchair. Physical therapists can also make recommendations on equipment needs and complete assessment of modifications that need to be done to the home in preparation for discharge.

Our Physical Therapy staff offers an abundance of experience and training in all areas of orthopedic and neurological diagnosis.  We have staff therapists who are certified in NDT training and educated in the Neuo-Ifrah Approach for the treatment of neurological impairments.  Our staff is well trained in theuse of the Biodex system to encourage proper patterns of walking with less demand on the client with neurological or orthopedic impairments.
