Sage
 Rehabilitation Hospital of Baton Rouge now offers a Day Neuro program for persons who have experienced a brain injury or stroke. The program has been designed to help participants maximize functional recovery as they return to home, community and work or school.

Participants have the opportunity to practice functional activities in a safe and supportive environment and work on their own specific strengths and weaknesses in individual sessions and group interactions.

The expected outcome of the program is for participants to achieve and maximum return to independent living, community access and vocational or educational pursuits within the framework of the level of physical and cognitive limitations and pre-injury abilities and lifestyle.

 

The program offers:

  • Full-day and half-day formats and may include group and individual therapies
  • Community outings
  • Work trials

Admission Criteria:

Primary diagnosis of brain injury, stroke or other neurological impairment including but not limited to:

 

  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Cerebral anoxia hypoxia
  • Arteriovenous malformations
  • Intra-cerebral hemorrhage
  • Aneurysms
  • Brain tumor recovery
  • Post-concussion syndrome
  • Cerebral vascular accident (Stroke)
