A certified physical/occupational therapist delivers the LSVT BIG Program to target amplitude (bigger movements) and normalize movements through emphasis on the amount of effort required to do so. Through this intensive four week program, there has been documented improvement with faster walking with larger steps, improved balance and improved trunk rotation allowing individuals to stay active and improve their quality of life.
A Certified Speech Therapist delivers the LSVT LOUD Program to improve both voice and speech of individuals with Parkinson’s, or other neurological conditions, by focusing on the underlying physical pathology utilizing an effective and concise cueing system. LSVT LOUD addresses vocal amplitude, breath support, pitch range and voice quality in an intense 4-week program designed to incorporate their new “LOUD” voice in their everyday environment.
Both programs must be delivered by certified therapists.
